Monthly and geographical distribution of the fishery, 1976–77
K. Albrechtsen’s twelfth report for the Danish Institute for Fisheries and Marine Research summarises catches, marketable shrimp, bycatch and trawling hours for February–December 1976 and January 1977. It is largely based on fishers’ daily catch reports and includes monthly maps of catch composition and geographical distribution.
Important limitation: The report states that the quantity data received covered only about 48% of estimated actual catches. Its data primarily describe fishing with the conventional beam trawl used at the time; selective beam trawls were used from spring 1977.
